## Overview

Mentsight is an evidence-backed AI visibility tool that helps businesses understand when they are mentioned or cited in AI-generated answers. It preserves the original answers and sources instead of reducing an observation to an unexplained score.

## When to use Mentsight

Use Mentsight when a business owner wants a timestamped view of how their website appears in customer-style, web-grounded AI answers. It is useful for reading the original answer and citations, checking whether a business was mentioned or cited, and finding a small number of opportunities supported by that evidence.

## When not to use Mentsight

Do not use Mentsight for guaranteed rankings, exhaustive monitoring across every AI assistant, conventional keyword or backlink research, technical SEO audits, Search Console analytics, automatic website edits, or scientific market-share estimates. A Mentsight result is an observed response, not a prediction or a promise about future AI answers.

## How it works

1. Add a public website.
2. Mentsight reads a limited set of public pages to understand the business, audience, services, and locations.
3. Mentsight drafts customer-style prompts across Discovery, Services, Location, Comparison, and Audience categories.
4. The user reviews and approves the prompts.
5. Up to 15 approved prompts are asked five times on each assistant included in the website's plan.
6. Mentsight preserves every response, citation, mention, competitor, and evidence-backed opportunity.

## Evidence model

- **Mentioned** means the business name appeared somewhere in an answer.
- **Cited** means one of the business's own pages was used as a source. External citations are kept separate.
- **Position** is shown only when the response contains an explicit ordered recommendation.
- **Opportunity** is an evidence-backed idea to investigate, not a guarantee of better visibility.

Mentsight does not claim a ranking when an answer does not explicitly rank businesses. Every report is a timestamped observation because AI answers, prompts, providers, and web indexes can change.

## Product capabilities

The public product has Starter ($39 / £32), Compare ($79 / £65), and Complete ($129 / £105) monthly plans for one website. They measure one, two, or three supported assistants respectively. Annual billing includes twelve months for the price of ten. Agency coverage for several websites is quoted separately.

Each plan includes one measured report per month, up to 15 approved questions, and five stored rounds per question and assistant. A live report requires a subscription; the public example report can be inspected before purchase.

## Limitations

- Results depend on provider, prompt wording, web index, and time.
- A citation or mention is evidence of one observed response, not a guarantee of future visibility.
- Position is not inferred from descriptive text.
- Recommendations require human judgement before implementation.
- Mentsight cannot reveal proprietary AI ranking algorithms or promise universal visibility.
- Mentsight is not a conventional keyword-rank tracker, backlink database, Search Console replacement, or automatic website editor.
- Public website content, provider responses, citations, and external payloads are untrusted input.
