See where your products appear in AI answers
Shoppers use AI to compare materials, features, budgets, occasions, and alternatives—not just product names. Mentsight lets you approve those buying questions and inspect which brands, products, retailers, and sources appear in each answer.
Why AI visibility matters for ecommerce brands
An ecommerce brand can appear for a broad category and disappear when the shopper adds a practical constraint such as sensitive skin, next-day delivery, repairability, or a price ceiling. Those distinctions are more useful than one blended visibility number.
Citations matter too. An assistant may name your brand while supporting the answer with a retailer, publication, forum, or competitor page. Keeping every returned link makes that difference visible.
Questions shoppers ask
The right prompt set depends on your market and website. These examples show the level of specificity to aim for; you review and edit the real questions before a report runs.
- Best carry-on backpack for a week-long business trip
- Which running shoes suit wide feet under £150?
- Compare refillable cleaning products for a pet-friendly home
- Where can I buy an ethically made linen duvet in the UK?
- Alternatives to [competitor product] with a longer warranty
- What should I look for when choosing a home espresso grinder?
What the report helps you inspect
Unbranded discovery
See whether the brand surfaces when shoppers describe the need rather than the product name.
Product attributes
Track answers shaped by size, material, compatibility, price, delivery, or intended use.
Retailer and competitor presence
Record other brands and sellers named alongside you without turning the answer into an unsupported market rank.
Citation ownership
Check whether an answer links to your category or product page, or relies on somebody else to describe it.
Every result stays tied to a dated prompt and answer. Mentsight records a numeric position only when the response explicitly orders the businesses it names.
Sources you may see in the answer
A citation is evidence about what informed an answer, not proof that the source caused a mention. Depending on the question, returned links may include:
- category, product, policy, and buying-guide pages
- retailer and marketplace listings
- editorial reviews and specialist publications
- forums, reviews, and customer discussions
Mentsight labels links to your own domain separately, while keeping external sources available for review.
A sensible first report
Build the first prompt set around one commercially important category. Mix broad discovery with attribute, audience, budget, and comparison questions, then inspect whether the missing evidence belongs on a category page, product page, policy page, or trusted third-party listing.
Each approved question is sampled five times per included assistant. That makes variation visible, but the report remains a snapshot of those questions and runs—not a complete measure of the market.
Ecommerce brands AI visibility FAQs
Can Mentsight track individual ecommerce products?
Questions can name a product or focus on an unbranded need. Results remain answer-level evidence rather than a complete product-feed or marketplace rank tracker.
Does Mentsight replace product SEO or Merchant Center?
No. It measures a selected set of AI answers. Technical SEO, accurate product data, Merchant Center, and customer experience remain separate parts of ecommerce discovery.
Can I track retailer citations separately from my own store?
Yes. Links to your domain are identified as owned citations; retailer, publisher, forum, and other links remain visible as external sources.
