How to improve AI visibility

There is no switch that guarantees a better AI answer. Start by explaining your business clearly and making the right pages easy to find. Then use real answers and sources to decide what to improve.

1. Make your business clear

Explain what you offer, who you serve, where you work, and when your service is a good fit. Use the words customers use in titles, headings, links, and useful copy. Write for meaning, not repetition.

2. Build useful pages search engines can read

  • Put important public information in accessible HTML.
  • For duplicate or near-duplicate pages, tell search engines which URL you prefer.
  • Link related service, audience, location, and case-study pages where those links help the reader.
  • Do not block pages you want search engines to read. List each preferred public URL in the sitemap you give them.
  • Publish original information and real experience instead of filling a quota with thin posts.

3. Inspect answers before acting

Track a useful set of prompts and read each full response. Separate mentions, owned citations, external sources, and ordered positions. If a competitor appears, check which sources support the answer before deciding that your site is missing something.

4. Test one evidence-backed opportunity

Choose one small, understandable change, such as clarifying a service area or creating a genuinely useful page for a recurring customer question. Record the change and rerun comparable prompts later. Treat the next answer as new evidence, not proof that your edit caused it.

Mentsight reports are designed to keep each next step tied to the answer or source that suggested it. See the example report for the format.
